Ann Marie Lubovich received her teaching degree from Bemidji
State University, and is a candidate for a Master of Arts in Music
Education degree from the University of St. Thomas. She has completed
the levels of coursework required to become certified as an Orff-Schulwerk
teacher, and she has additional training in the Dalcroze and Kodaly
music teaching philosophies. Her professional memberships include
the National Association for Music Education, the Minnesota Music
Educators Association, the American Orff-Schulwerk Association,
the Organization of American Kodaly Educators, the Dalcroze Society
of America and the American Choral Directors Association.
Ms. Lubovich began singing with the East Range Choral Society
in 1981 as a student at Mesabi Community College. She has been
a featured soloist at several of the choir's concerts, including
Mozart's Requiem in the spring of 2009. She has an extensive
musical theatre background, having appeared in many productions
throughout Minnesota. Favorite roles include "Annie Oakley"
in Annie Get Your Gun, "Lucy" in How to Talk
Minnesotan - the Musical, "Fruma Sarah" in Fiddler
on the Roof, "Aunt Eller" in Oklahoma!, "Mother
Superior" in Nunsense II - The Second Coming, and
"General Cartwright" in Guys and Dolls. She is
the organist for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in her hometown
of Mountain Iron.
